PRACTICAL MERCHANT GUIDE

Before targeting Saudi customers, prepare the order journey.

Expansion starts with being able to fulfil the order. A store operating in Saudi Arabia and one shipping there from Bahrain need different arrangements. Define your model first, then test the journey from price to return.

Choose: local sales or shipping into Saudi Arabia?

If stock is in Saudi Arabia, explain the dispatch location and coverage. If you ship from Bahrain or another country, state the origin and estimated timeline, and establish who pays any additional charges that may apply. The two models need different wording because waiting time and cost matter to the customer.

  • In-stock product: when is it ready for dispatch?
  • Made-to-order product: how long is preparation before shipping?
  • Cross-border shipment: can a return be handled, and how will it work and cost?

Check currency and payment as part of the journey

If prices are in Saudi riyals, show the currency and total consistently on the product, cart and order confirmation. Do not assume that a payment service used in another country is available to the same account in Saudi Arabia. Confirm country, currency and available methods in store settings and with the payment provider before publishing.

Organise cities and addresses before quoting shipping

Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam are not substitutes for a complete delivery address. List the cities you can actually serve, then collect the address details required by your carrier. Separate the city from district and address details, and disclose areas with a different fee or timeline. Test a complete phone number in a format accepted by both store and carrier.

Write a policy you can carry out

Explain when preparation begins, when cancellation is possible, the steps for returns or exchanges and how customers contact you. Made-to-measure clothing, food and ready-stock goods may need different explanations. Check the requirements for your activity and avoid a template that does not match how you work.

Run a limited launch before expanding

Start with the cities and products you can reliably serve. Use distinct campaign tags for each channel so visits and registrations can be distinguished, then compare what actually happened. If visits do not become orders, review final cost, delivery clarity and page trust before expanding the campaign.

A FINAL CHECK

Before you share the link

  • Operating country and dispatch country are defined.
  • Currency is consistent from product to order confirmation.
  • Payment is verified with the provider for your account and country.
  • Cities, fees and timelines can be fulfilled.
  • Returns explain shipping arrangements where needed.
  • You have independently checked the legal and tax requirements for your activity.

Common questions

Does this page mean my store is approved for Saudi Arabia?

No. This is a customer-experience preparation guide, not an approval, legal advice or a compliance guarantee. Independently check the requirements for your activity, country and payment and shipping providers.

Do payment gateways and shipping activate automatically?

No. Check the options available to your store, the provider’s terms and account configuration. Publish a payment method or shipping promise only after confirming you can actually use it.

Can I try Ahmed Web before subscribing?

You can start a 7-day trial from account activation without a card. Use the trial to check your country setup and payment and shipping needs; continuing afterwards requires a paid plan.
